Hi, I’m Elana Mccormick!

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, but you may call me a healing supporter and guide. I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for all clients to begin their journey to process and heal. I work closely with clients to tailor therapy to their needs and what works best for them. I know that starting the therapeutic process may seem daunting, and I will be with you every step of the way to guide you through. I want to help prioritize YOU, whether that is learning tools to manage anxiety or depression, process past trauma, work through life transitions, or even just having a sounding board.

I primarily work from a collaborative, person-centered, and strength-based approach while supporting clients to be in charge of their own lives. I also incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients challenge and reframe negative thoughts and beliefs, regulate emotions, manage stress, and build healthy relationships. There can be a lot of distress and fear when you look at the space between where you are and where you want to be. I can help you manage that in-between- the growth place- in a way that feels authentic to you.

I know from my own therapeutic journey how important it is to have a safe space to be heard and supported, and I strive to provide that for my clients. When it comes down to it, we are all human and deserve to be seen and heard. I am a LGBTQI+ allied and inclusive therapist. I look forward to hearing from you and helping start your healing journey!
